Children's Ministry) and Bonanza - Our after school outreach.
Education and Experience: A few of my adventures: Serving in various youth and children's ministries, camps and recreation (BC, the US and Peru). Five years with Youth for Christ Comox Valley (studies and work). Five years with Capernwray Harbour (studies and work). Getting to know and serve unhoused people on the streets across the island.
Book/Author that has impacted me most: As a child, my parents gave me a kids' study Bible and a copy of What the Bible is All About for Young Explorers - Frances Blankenbaker. The curiosity ignited as a youngster still propels me today. Genesis is one of my favourite books to spend time in.
Favourite Scripture: Philippians 3:7 - 11 and Jeremiah 17:7 - 8 passages I'm learning to live by.
A few of my favourite things: English Breakfast tea; backwoods adventures; making music or crafting; wild, tall rambling gardens (...waxing poetic!) I love learning and taking workshops on all sorts of topics.
Hope and Vision for Courtenay Baptist: That we won't settle on being merely Sunday Christians; that we are increasingly willing to go any length, pay any cost and do whatever it takes to authentically love and follow our living Lord, Jesus Christ. That we would live this together, by the power of His Spirit for the glory of God.
